When traveling composer-performer Ben Cosgrove performed at The Foster Museum for a stunning private event in 2024, plans were immediately hatched to bring Cosgrove out west again for public performances. The museum and Cosgrove are thrilled to offer two performances in March 2025, in a setting that enhances and deepens the music's explorations of landscape, place, and environment.

Cosgrove has collaborated with groups ranging from rock bands to research scientists, contributed music to several radio and film projects (including the recent Ken Burns documentary The American Buffalo), and held residencies and fellowships with institutions including NASA, the National Park Service, the National Forest Service, Harvard University, Middlebury College, the Schmidt Ocean Institute, and the Sitka Center for Art & Ecology. His newest record, Bearings, is a collection of improvisation-based music that reflects upon the relationship between movement and place. For more about Ben Cosgrove and his work, please visit bencosgrove.com.
